people are talking about making so many headlines, oscar host chris rock's monologue on diversity, the comedian taking the issue head on right from the top of the show and what he said changed the way a lot of people may be thinking about race here in america. abc's chris connelly is here with more on that. good morning, chris. >> good morning, yes, indeed for chris rock it had to be an all eyes on me moment. so much anticipation in the dolby theatre around the world, deep feelings and then he took on this controversy with nuance, discernment, historical perspective and no one got a free pass. >> well, i'm here at the academy award s otherwise known as the white people's choice awards. >> reporter: host chris rock, his comic dazzle and daring on full display. >> you realize if they nominated hosts, i wouldn't even get this job. >> reporter: taking the oscars so white controversy head on and no one was safe.

his home state votes on super tuesday. he's got to win there. if he can get 50% of the vote there he can get away with the lion's share of the delegates but he has to do more. all these southern states, that is where ted cruz has banked his campaign. he's got to find a way to win there. as for marco rubio, it's unclear where he can win. he's been targeting minnesota, virginia, arkansas, he can keep getting delegates by coming in a close second or third, but he's got to find a place to win. i think 20% is his biggest number, 20% in texas if he gets less than that he can get shut out of all of texas' delegate. >> they have to build up enough delegates to try to block trump even if they can't get there themselves. on the democratic side hillary clinton coming out of that big win saturday in south carolina. looks like she's ready to roll through the south. >> that's right and bernie sanders has to find a way to win somewhere where we don't expect him to. his home state votes, he can win there. probably massachusetts next door but he's got to find a way not to geddes mated again in the south. >> okay, jon karl, thanks very much.

i'm naked. >> hi. erin andrews. >> reporter: the 37-year-old reporter and "dancing with the stars" co-host is suing michael david barrett who in 2010 pleat pleated guilty to stalking filming her naked through the door of her hotel room and the owners of this marriott for $75 million claiming the hotel made it easy for him to film her in the nude. >> if she tells the jury how this affected her, that she was embarrassed by it, that she was sickened by it, that she continues to be emotionally upset about it, i just can't imagine that it's going to be difficult for this jury to connect with her and this jury to find in her favor. >> reporter: the hotel says barrett is a criminal who tricked them into gaining access to andrews but andrews' lawyers say the hotel did nothing to prevent barrett from finding her room number and failed to notice he had removed and altered the
